Acting on credible intelligence about a large group of Pakistan-backed terrorists preparing to attack a village in the Poonch sector, Major Sushil Aima led his troops on a search-and-destroy mission. Displaying exceptional courage and exemplary leadership, he fought from the front and engaged the terrorists at close quarters.
Despite sustaining grievous injuries during the prolonged operation, he continued to lead and inspire his men, playing a decisive role in neutralising the terrorists and preventing the planned attack. At the young age of just 32, he made the supreme sacrifice while protecting the nation.
🎖️ Awarded the Kirti Chakra (Posthumous), India's second-highest peacetime gallantry award, Major Sushil Aima remains a symbol of unmatched courage, selfless service, and unwavering devotion to the motherland.
